Time to go?

The figure in the Eight of Cups has stacked eight full cups in the foreground and is walking away in the background. This card represents the option to leave a stable situation. Achievement or fulfillment of emotion has built up, and now— like the moment in the party when you know it has reached its peak— there is the option to go. This card might represent someone who has achieved much, but reached a time of boredom or stagnation.
When reversed, the card indicates the same situation but that it is not time to leave. The situation may still have something to give. It can also mean that you’ve left when it wasn’t the right time; are you running away? When is the right time to move on?
