There are no good or bad cards in Tarot, and The Sun is one of the best of the good cards Tarot doesn’t have. It represents joy, liberation from toil, success, attainment, and optimism. The Sun means you are that happy baby on horseback, innocent and full of joy, with the sun shining over you and bringing up sunflowers. The Sun is about having your moment of sustained happiness; your so-called moment in the sun.
When reversed, The Sun brings cloudy days, metaphorically. It’s impossible to keep the sun out forever, but your happiness is currently delayed, obscured, or in potentia. You must wait for the clouds to pass before you are able to experience your time of joy.
