The Five of Pentacles is a card about hard times. Usually this card indicates a struggle with loss or hardship— feeling like you have no foundation or home, and every day is a struggle to scrape together what you need. You may feel that others who seem like they should help (or who have what you struggle for) are not helping. In this card, you are in the struggle of not having enough. But you are not alone, and help may come. This card may also indicate a fear of this struggle rather than the struggle itself.

Reversed, this card heralds the end of a struggle. This might be a good ending, where things improve. Or, it may be an undesirable ending in which things get harder and collapse. Either way, the struggle will be over soon. How can you guide the outcome?
