The Eight of Wands shows eight wands in flight, like arrows that have been shot into the air and are rapidly coming back to earth. This is the card of acceleration and acceleration events: news, happenings, and things that inspire further action or events. These wooden sticks might be flying towards you like arrows with messages attached, or like a bunch of building materials that you need to move to the next stage. There’s a bit of a question here as well, whether it is events that will move you forward, or if you will move yourself.
When reversed, the Eight of Wands represents delay and discord; a waiting period that is grueling for you. The source of hte delay might be yourself: overthinking or procrastination. Or perhaps there’s a problem of timing here: you already rushed in, and now is the time to take it slow and make more measured decisions.
